It's finished! Woo! I'd say it took me around 12 hours total, although it took much longer because I get distracted. ;)

I learned a lot with this piece! It's the first digital one I've ever really attempted without linework, and I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

I'm not entirely happy with the clothes, which makes me think I should do some digital cloth and clothes studies. I think I may! The fur and wing parts came surprisingly easily and naturally, however. I enjoyed painting them entirely too much. ;D

I hope to get quicker at painting!

But yes! This is Remus (*engelkatze), and it is for his art/portrait contest. I hope he likes it! :heart:

Daily Deviation

Given 2008-09-20

Remus by ~nekkers is a picture I have in mind for a Daily Deviation feature since a month ago, but it was a contest entry and it would have been unfair to place it in the spotlight while the contest was still active. But now, I can proudly share this jewel with you all, and boost ~nekkers's ego a bit, hehe. By the way, she won first place, had you any kind of doubt about it? Holy crap! That is amazing! Especially the texture of the fur and the feathers. A contest? Well good luck! This is sure to be one of the most eye-catching entries guaranteed!
